Dr. M. Anil Ramesh is a science graduate from the prestigious Nizam College Hyderabad, and later did his Master of Business Administration (MBA), from Osmania University. He secured University’s first rank in Marketing and was placed seventh overall. Later he did his Ph.D. from the same university. His area of research is Consumer Behaviour.
Dr. Ramesh has 31 years of experience, both in Industry and in Academics. His corporate stints include famous Indian companies like HCL and RES Limited, Hyderabad. He has also worked abroad as a Marketing Manager for Oman Solar Systems, Muscat, Oman.
After moving back to India, Dr. Ramesh worked for the prestigious CBIT (Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology) before moving onto to Bahirdar University, Ethiopia on a UNDP-sponsored programme. He served for two contracts at Bahirdar University, Bahirdar. Ethiopia. BDU (Bahirdar University) is one of the topranked Government Universities of Ethiopia. He also held an additional charge as PRO of Bahirdar University. After coming back to India, Dr. M. Anil Ramesh joined SSIM (Siva Sivani Institute of Management) as the HOD-Marketing. During his 10 years of stay he worked as HOD-Marketing, Director-Academic (Second Shift), Chairman – PGP (Post Graduate Programmes), Chief Controller of Examinations and as Chairman – Training and Consultancy. Currently, he is the Director of SSIM.
Dr. M. Anil Ramesh is an empanelled trainer for Indian School of Petroleum and Energy (ISPe) and has conducted Management Development Programmes (MDPs) for middle and senior level executives of public sector giants like Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).
Apart from the above-mentioned public sector giants from the petroleum sector, Dr. M. Anil Ramesh has also conducted training programmes for companies like National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Visaz Steel Plant, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (NFCL) and many others. He, along with the marketing departmental colleagues of SSIM, conducted a very unique “Mystery shopping project” for Tirumala Music Centre, Hyderabad. Dr.M.Anil Ramesh is also a well versed Outbound Trainer and has regularly conducted Outbound training as a part of induction programme for many batches of fresh Siva Sivani students. He has also conducted Outbound training programmes for many other educational institutions as well as for corporates.
Dr. M. Anil Ramesh believes in the concept of infusing fun and excitement in teaching and believes in application-based learning. For the modern generation of students who are so used to instant gratification, digital media and 4G speeds, the need of the hour is engagement not as teachers who give only standard Gyan and principles but rather playing the role of a facilitator—let the students learn the subject themselves through a process of self-discovery.
Dr. M. Anil Ramesh is also a registered Ph.D. guide and is presently guiding two research scholars. He is also on the board of studies of many educational institutes and is very closely associated with Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad where he assists the Management department in academic issues like courses, course work, and course material preparation and also in conducting vivas.

Dr. Ramesh has also penned a very popular column “Business Buzz” which had appeared continuously in THE HANS INDIA (a leading English newspaper in Hyderabad) for nearly three years.
